Holiday Haunt at Great Oak

Dedicated to all that need a little bit of magic, joy and/or happiness during the holidays!
We moved into our house in August 2020, and it's been a wonderful change for our whole family. So, in the spirit of neighborhood affinity, we created an epic haunt to entertain and amuse all, which we received very positive feedback.
Due to a local event, we felt that it would be good to extend the length of our haunt and morph it into something for the holiday season. Global events that took place while working on all of our 2022 decorations helped to reinforce our commitment and desire to try to spread some happiness and joy to others.
We do hope that you enjoy this little story that we put together for our holiday haunt. We really enjoy the community spirit and interactions that Halloween brings.
In an effort to bring this type of comradery to the holiday season, we came up with an artistic approach to mesh aspects of Halloween into what might be typically found during the holidays. For us, what we came up with feels like a good approach for our holiday display.
We tried our best to include following stories into our holiday haunt...
A grinch that despises the holiday season and learns what joy it brings to others.
A skeleton king named Jack learning of Christmas and making it his mission to spread that kind of joy.
A Cranky old man that cares more for his wallet than others that finds happiness when helping others.
Our snow family is here to help remind of the joy in spending time with family during those cold nights. We also hope that it will conjure up fun childhood memories.
The gingerbread family and candy canes are a reminder about the sweet things in life. Do you remember the time that one of your parents made the effort to make something fantastic for you?
The seven foot tall trees of light contain nine hundred (900) lights each, that we hope will give you that twinkling glow.
Who did we pick for our haunt's carollers? None other than our very own zombies and witches.
Of course, our display couldn't really be considered a "haunt" without one of our original ghosts and bride.
We hope you will enjoy our holiday haunt!
