By the Dickens
"By the Dickens" is about a cranky old man that cares more for his wallet than others. Eventually he realizes that he can find happiness when helping others.

As a child I really enjoyed going to various Dickens festivals and seeing people dressed up in their Victorian attire. I really wanted to bring something to life that could remind me of that magic and figured that the best way to do so was to keep our Halloween cemetary up for the holiday season and introduce Ebenezer Scrooge into it.
My inspiration came from "A Christmas Carol", by Charles Dickens, that has a scene in it where he is being visited by a ghost of Christmas future and takes him to see his grave. What I created for this scene of our "Holiday Haunt" are six tombstones that include the story's reference and five quotes that try to tell the overall story as I perceive it.
